I didn't sleep at all last night.
I'm really terrible at keeping up with dA... or a blog... or a journal... or anything of the sort. I haven't done ANY art in the past few months (outside of my University classes, but those weren't my best works...). I always have all these self doubts about my ability to draw. Sure, I can look at a picture and re-draw it pretty well, like I do with screenshots. I just don't have my own style, or confidence in my own abilities. All the artists I watch here on dA I truly admire. They all have something unique and interesting about their style, and it's noticeably theirs'. For now, I just have my aspirations.
I went through all of my dA account and deleted old artworks and journals that I didn't really want anymore. I kept some of my better and more original works. I did a lot of digital art based of screenshots, and it seems a bit... boring to me. It looks the same as it would in the anime I got the pictures from. I don't mind posting traditional drawn photos from reference because you can't exactly trace them. I also like giving them the hatch-style shading (I think that's what it's called) and I hope to find new ways to develop that.
Let's start this new year off fresh and new
